The apartment is located on the second floor of a residential building and beautifully presented with fresh white walls, large windows allowing lots of natural light and handsome wooden floorboards throughout. You will find a combination of modern and antique furniture in the apartment including a comfortable large sofa and leather armchair form where you can enjoy the flat screen TV also provided. The sofa also converts easily into a double bed for two of your guests in the evenings. Mealtimes are taken care of in the excellent open kitchen area and you can enjoy sociable mealtimes together at the rather elegant wooden dining table and chairs. There are two private bedrooms featuring two single beds in one room and a double bed in the other. The apartment also boasts an attractive bathroom featuring a designer wash basin and combined bath/shower. The highlight of the apartment has to be the wonderful large balcony where you can enjoy a meal or a bottle of wine with your guests on a warm summer’s evening. This outstanding holiday home makes the perfect alternative to renting hotel rooms in the city.
The major neighbourhoods of ‘Amsterdam East’ (Amsterdam Oost) are undergoing distinct and positive changes. There has been a concerted effort by government, particularly in the Transvaal neighbourhood to increase investment in social, urban and economic issues. Amsterdam East is a vibrant multicultural area in a process of gentrification. In a way it can be compared to De Pijp of 10 to 20 years ago.
East of the Amstel River and flanked by the Nieuwe Vaart canal (beyond which lies the IJ harbour) and Buitenveldert, the Oosterpark neighbourhood flows into the Dapperbuurt and Indische neighbourhood before being capped by Flevopark.
