Ideal for anyone looking forward to enjoy the well known Lisbon nightlife.
This apartment is a recently renovated studio, with a bathroom, a kitchenette with, refrigerator, tea kettle, and a ceramic hob.
It is a good apartment for one person, but have one extra bed and can perfectly accommodate a couple.
We provide bed linens and towels and they are included in the price.
The apartment is in a typical Portuguese street, between lively Bairro Alto and Santos in the neighborhood of São Bento. The Grand São Bento Palace it’s so pretty that even the Prime Minister lives next door! Also enjoy the "Estrela Basilica" or the botanical gardens just at front.
There is a supermarket, plus several restaurants and bars within a 5-minute walk.
Sao Bento is less than 15 minutes walking distance from Cais do Sodré Train Station. The Metro there provides access to central Lisbon in 10 minutes. Lisbon International Airport is 8 km away.
If you walk 10 minutes you´re at "Bairro Alto", known as one of the most attractive and picturesque areas of the Lisbon’s city center. At night, this 17th century colorful district is transformed into the city's vibrant nightlife quarter. The main streets and narrow passageways are bustling with activity of dozens of excellent traditional restaurants, «fado singing houses», cafés, and a multitude of sleek clubs and bars that stay open until late. In recent years, «Bairro Alto» is also an alternative shopping destination, for those looking for trendy design shops, art galleries and bookshops.
Bairro Alto, one of the Lisbon hippest and coolest place.
There are several buses and trams, and subway, 10 minutes away, although one can easily walk to the main points of the city. Five minutes walking is the heart of the glamorous and cosmopolitan city can still be felt in the Chiado, a place where the "new" and "old" live in harmony. Characterized by casual-chic atmosphere, with streets full of shops, fine restaurants, beautiful cobblestone, beautiful churches and timeless cafes, Chiado makes any visitor feel real Lisbon.
Chiado is where Lisbon's history and urbanity meet. This tourist area of the capital begins at the Brasileira café, on Rua Garrett. Opened in 1905. It´s one of Lisbon's postcards. On the side walk café you will find the different urban tribes and a statue of poet Fernando Pessoa, who offers his lap for tourist photos.
Next to it, two churches remind the vanished towers of Santa Catarina Gate. The Church of Loreto, built in 1528 by Italians living in Lisbon, was partially destroyed by the 1755 earthquake, but later rebuilt and one of the places to visit on Chiado. The Church of Encarnação, inaugurated in 1708, was also hit in 1755 and rebuilt later. But Chiado has more than just two churches to (website hidden)ís de Camões square, which any Lisboner will call Largo Camões, is not just a passing place. Sit on the steps of the poet's monument and enjoy the bustle that Chiado has.
But do not leave Chiado without inquiring about the theatres. São Luiz Municipal Theatre was one of Lisbon's first cinemas. Today it is a municipal theatre with a rich and varied programming. Also glimpse the Teatro Trindade and the S. Carlos Opera House.
This is one of the city´s best shopping areas. You will find international brand shops (Hermès and Hugo Boss, for example) and great Portuguese designers like José António Tenente (Tv. Carmo, 8) StoryTailors (Cç. Do Ferragial, 8) or Atelier Alves/Gonçalves (Tv. Guilherme Cossul, 16).
It is not difficult to come across public figures, mainly artists. There are several art schools in the area, like the Fine Arts Faculty. Even if you are not an expert, venture into the Chiado Museum - National Museum of Contemporary Art (Rua Serpa Pinto, 4) besides well-cared exhibitions, it has a pleasant patio to have lunch or simply sip a coffee. There is also a big offer for meals: Café Royale, New Wok and Kaffee Hause are excellent choices.

The flat is good situated in Barrio Alto, near to the historical tram number 28. We had a friendly welcome and a good time in Lisboa. The room is very small for two persons, on the foto it looks bigger. Andrea & Jürgen
We had a lovely stay, the apartment is well furnished and perfectly located for young travelers, close to the train station. If you are traveling during the summer, you'll find it cool and comfortable.
On the downside, not so many kitchen supplies; high humidity -I guess this comes for all Lisbon- and we had to give a 100€ deposit in cash at our arrival, which we didn't know about..., but we got it back quickly by bank transfer.
This apartment is right in the middle of Alfama where I personally enjoyed very much with the old buildings and good atmosphere in the area. The apartment was clean and very well furnished, particularly with a iPhone speaker provided in the living room (which is perfect for young travelers). Costa was extremely nice although we did not have the chance to meet him in person. The only thing I would like to raise is that the apartment is quite humid and it is one of the drawbacks of living close to the river in general (not only Costa's flat) I suppose. Both my boyfriend and I are easily prone to nasal allergies in humid environment, so it was the only thing we found uncomfortable during the stay.
Nice stay in this clean and cute studio in a atypical neighbourhood! I recommend it! However it is not made for two adults, it would clearly be too tight! Very calm in itself (main noises from the tramway n°28, but this is completely acceptable)
Everything is available: towels, bed sheets, wifi, kitchen, washing machine.. When I decided to rent the studio longer than expected, there was no problem and Antonio's friend was helping. By the way, he is a nice host, ready to help at any time! The only issue maybe was about the 100 Euro deposit I had to pay extra, which was not mentioned on the website when I rented the flat and I only heard about it when I arrived in the room in Lisbon. I got it back of course at the end of my stay, but it took some days.. and I had to write some more texts to get the transaction done. This could be improved. Otherwise, a very good stay!!
Everything was great: location, appartment and welcome. We had a lovely stay, i'd recommend this appartment to friends & family
It was a Great Apartment, clean and good Equipment in the kitchen, but we thought it was a Little Too small for two Person
We stayed in Costa's appartment for a couple of days and we really enjoyed it. It's well located in the oldest district of Lisbon (Alfama). The apartment is lovely decorated (their eye for detail is amazing) and convenient with a nice big kitchen (including dishwasher). It's really clean and silent (apart from the neighbours upstairs who you could hear walking around but that isn't too much of a burden). You can easily contact them. We were delayed and Antonio was waiting for us till after midnight. He was really kind and despite of the hour kindly explained us the must see's in Lisbon. We would definitely recommend this place!
It was really nice to visit Lisbon and stay in this apartment. This cozy and good located place was a nice spot to rest after all day sightseeing.
